Judicial Service Commission (JSC)’s investigate meeting against Supreme Court Justice Adam Mohamed Abdulla has been rescheduled to Wednesday.
While it was originally set for Sunday, the commission did not specify a reason for the postponement.
JSC last week announced that the investigative meeting against the justice will be open to public. This was upon the justice’s request.
The commission recently counseled Abdulla, however he refused the counselling.
JSC decided to move ahead with a disciplinary case against him, over the refusal.
The investigative meeting will be held at 10am on Wednesday, at the Judicial Complaints and Investigation Section.
The commission said the media and public will be allowed during the meeting, as per space availability. Those interested in attending the meeting are to arrive at the venue 15 minutes prior, with identity card.
JSC’s investigative meeting against Justice Abdulla Didi was also held in public. Following the investigation, the commission decided to remove him, which was supported by the People’s Majlis.
As per the current administration’s pledge to reform the country’s judiciary, JSC has been investigating a number of judges as well as the court proceedings.
