Supreme Court Justice Adam Mohamed Abdulla’s investigative meeting will be open to the public, the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has announced.
JSC revealed this via a statement on Thursday, noting that the justice had requested to do so.
The meeting is to be held at 2pm on Sunday, at the Judicial Complaints and Investigation Section.
The commission said the media and public will be allowed during the meeting, as per space availability. Those interested in attending the meeting are to arrive at the venue 15 minutes prior, with identity card.
JSC recently informed Justice Abdulla, and three other justices, of 15 issues against them. These were noted in JSC’s report regarding the state of the country’s judiciary.
While JSC did not reveal the details of the complaints, it had decided to counsel the three; as per article 39 of the Judges Act which requires judges to be counselled if any complaints are raised against them.
