Board members appointed to newly established corporations
The Road Development Corporation Limited was formed in June while the Tradenet Corporation Limite was established earlier this month

Board members have been appointed to the recently established Tradenet Corporation Limited and Road Development Corporation Limited.

The Privatization and Corporatization Board made the appointments on Sunday.

A total of four members were appointed to the Road Development Corporation Limited’s board, including Moosa Ali Manik as Managing Director. Others in the board are Ahmed Marzooq, Ahmed Shareef and Shamweel Mohamed. While the Road Development Corporation Limited’s board of directors is to comprise of six members, a chairman is yet to be appointed.

Six directors were appointed to the Tradenet Corporation Limited’s board. This includes Chairman Yoosuf Riza and Managing Director Ahmed Shiham, with members Nahiya Mohamed, Shurufa Abdul Waheed, Mahmood Riyaz and Maryam Wisham. An additional member must be appointed to the board, to reach the required number of members.

The Tradenet Corporation Limited’s was established on October 13, as a “Single Window operator for complete business-related services under a single roof.”

President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih formed the “Road Development Corporation Limited” in June, in order to stabilize the country's transport system.

Both are 100 percent government-run companies.
