Two individuals have been rushed to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for treatment following injuries attained due to a sea accident, reported on Thursday morning.
Maldives Police Service (MPS) revealed that the accident was reported to them a little past 10am, and that the injured were Maldivians; a woman and a man.
They are currently being treated at IGMH.
No further details have been revealed on the extent of their injuries, or the damages incurred by the vessels.
Officers are currently active in the region where the two speedboats collided into each other outside the Malé lagoon.
