In its work to ensure economic stability in the country, the current administration recently established the SME bank; to make it easier for small medium enterprises to get start up loans.

Speaking during the inauguration of SME Development Finance Corporation Pvt. Ltd back in March, President Solih has said that the introduction of SME bank service “would be an incentive for the development of small-medium businesses.”

The incumbent president has formed other corporations since assuming office in November 2018; Maldives Fund Management Corporation Limited, Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation Limited and Road Development Corporation Limited.
