A pedestrian has been injured by a piece of falling wood in Male’ on Friday.
Police stated that the piece of wood fell from a balcony in the eighth floor of a house in Maafannu ward at 10am.
The victim has been sent to Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital, stated the police, adding that they are investigating the incident.
Pedestrians being injured by falling objects are a common occurrence in the capital city.
