Parliament has passed the motion to extend the ongoing session to September 5.

The motion was passed at Tuesday’s sitting with 72 votes.

According to the parliament regulation, the second session is scheduled from June 1 to August 31.

The motion to stall recess was passed to complete the parliament’s current work on the numerous bills submitted in the current session.

Parliament’s first session began on February 1 and ended on April 30, and the third session is scheduled from October 1 to November 30.

The current sittings are being held in the morning and evening to fast-track the parliament’s work.
