Students can now use the government-issued loans for the pilot license programme in Maldives to complete their training abroad.
In a press release on Tuesday, the Ministry of Higher Education stated that they made the decision after discussing it with the relevant government authorities and stakeholders, due to the extended length of training for the students in the pilot license program.
Students interested in transferring abroad should select a school that can provide a pilot license without the need for additional testing at the civil aviation authority. Students are required to acquire more funds themselves.
Interested students should mail the placement letter for the school, fee structure, and ID card to the ministry.
The ministry advised students to thoroughly research the schools they are interested in before applying.
