President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has attended the third Jazeera Holhuashi session, which was held in Thinadhoo island of Gaafu Dhaalu atoll.
This was the first iteration of Jazeera Holhuashi outside of the capital city, where the subject was the "development of the fishing industry."
After his arrival on Friday, the President met with Thinadhoo's Councillors and senior officials of government institutions in the island.
Later in the evening, President Solih attended the Jazeera Holhuashi session with Vice President Faisal Naseem, Fisheries Minister Zaha Weed and STO Managing Director Hussain Amru Rasheed.
Speaking at the session, President Solih said that the government has the capacity to allow the sale of fish in every island and that the fisheries ministry has made the necessary assessments and sent their findings to the economic ministry.
