The Deputy Coordinator of US Department of State's Counter Terrorism Bureau, John Godfrey has paid a courtesy call on Parliament Speaker and former President Mohamed Nasheed.

The meeting was held at the People’s Majlis premises at 11:30am on Thursday.

Nasheed was accompanied by Parliament’s Secretary General, members of the Committee on National Security and some officials of the Parliament during the meeting.

Extensive discussions were held on the counter-terrorism efforts extended by both countries in order to battle terrorism as well as the raising dangers it poses to both countries.
