A team from the presidential Commission on Murders and Enforced Disappearances is in Fuvahmulah City, to investigate the disappearance of Mohamed Shafeeu.
The 49-year-old has been missing since July 2017.
In a tweet posted on Monday, responding to a post seeking help to find him, the commission said that in investigation team is currently in Fuvahmulah to investigate the case.
It further assured its “commitment to find the truth.”
At the time of his disappearance, a source told RaajjeMV that it is believed that Shafeeu went missing while out at sea.
He was working as a room attendant at Angaga Resort. He has a wife and one child.
