Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrest two individuals for being in possession of weapons and drugs.

While the 18-year-old and the 23-year-old were arrested from a house Maradhoo in Seenu atoll, police revealed that their arrest comes after being tipped off that they were in possession of weapons.

During the operation conducted at 11:30am on Monday, police confiscated a sword, knives, blades and pocket knives along with a stash of packets suspected to contain drugs.

While police have since launched an investigation into the case, they had also found injections and a mask during the raid.
