Maldivian experts needed for tourism development: Minister Yumna
She said that the government will take the necessary steps to make use of Maldivian experts

Yumna Maumoon, the Minister of Arts, Culture and Heritage, has said that Maldivian experts are needed for the development of the tourism industry.

Inaugurating the traditional stone carving course, the Minister said that the government will take the necessary steps to make use of Maldivian experts.

Minister Yumna also said that the traditional stone carving course aims to preserve Maldives’ heritage and that most of the world’s experts in stone carving are in Maldives.

The traditional stone carving course is an initiative of Maldives Association of Tourism Industries (MATI). There are 10 participants with leading expert Mohamed Imran as the instructor.
