Judicial Service Commission (JSC) member and Judge Mohamed Easa Fulhu has said that the JSC is irresponsible and not transparent.
Judge Easa Fulhu was appointed to the JSC by the lower courts.
At a parliamentary committee meeting where all JSC members were present, Judge Easa Fulhu said that, in the last five years he has been in JSC, he has observed that the JSC does its work secretly, adding that the recording of the meetings in the last session had been stopped.
Noting that two Chief Justices had been dismissed without proper legal procedure, he said that the courthouse would have been improved today if JSC had fulfilled its duties.
He also said that the parliament should allow the JSC to carry on its work independently.
