Police received report of the break-in on May 31
Three suspects have been arrested over a burglary in Addu City.
Police said that arrested are three males- a 19-year-old, 26-year-old and 30-year-old- and that they have been remanded for 15 days.
It added that USD 1,200 and MVR 14,000 have since been recovered.
The suspects are to have stolen the safe at a store - Apollo- in the city’s Hithadhoo ward on May 31.
While the safe was found in the woods shortly after, police had previously said that USD 1,200 and MVR 27,704 had been stolen in the break-in.
