Local telecommunications giant Ooredoo Maldives has been allocated as the title sponsor of Travel Trade Maldives (TTM) 2019.
Orca Media Group had signed an agreement with Ooredoo on Thursday.
While TTM 2019 is to be held from 11 to 13 June this year, is aims to expand and advertise the tourism industry of the Maldives and acts as a convenient platform for international travel agents and the business community of the Maldives to intersect.
It provides a platform for the hundreds of companies from the global travel trade to meet, network and conduct business operations conveniently.
This year’s TTM summit will focus on promoting businesses through analytic, dynamic pricing, digital and artificial intelligence in the tourism industry.
Ooredoo’s Managing Director and CEO, Najib Khan revealed that they aim to facilitate the tourism industry of Maldives to reach the ultimate target of 2.5 million tourists and a USD 3.5 billion income.
Khan further stated that the vibrant platform and this year’s focus “Travel Technology and Analytics” greatly aligns with Ooredoo’s commitment to a digital Maldives and that it works well with the telecom provider’s efforts to support the Digital transformation and growth of the tourism industry of the country.
Over 300 investors in the industry, resort and hotel owners and developers along with designers and consultants will be joining the summit this year.
