Ooredoo partners with Fine Taxi to provide easy payment methods for customers
This is the first time Ooredoo has partnered with a taxi center, to make it more convenient for their customers
With the announcement, Ooredoo is offering a number of discounts to both its prepaid and postpaid customers

Ooredoo has, on Monday, announced partnership with taxi center, Fine Taxi, to support m-Faisaa as the method of making payments for taxi.

This is the first time Ooredoo has partnered with a taxi center, to make it more convenient for their customers.

A special ceremony was held at the Ooredoo headquarters on Monday, where both parties formalized the partnership; Ooredoo's Head of Sales, Hussain Niyaz represented the company while owner, Ahmed Shihad represented Fine Taxi, at the ceremony.

"Under this partnership. all taxis operating under Fine Taxi will support Ooredoo m-Faisaa as a method of payment, allowing customers to use the secure and convenient service to make payments instantly, via their mobile phone." said Ooredoo.

With the announcement, Ooredoo is offering up to 1000 MB free data every month, for customers who use m-Faisaa to pay for taxi services, a 25 percent bonus credit for every prepaid recharge, a five percent discount upon postpaid bill pay and exclusive discounts at selected m-Faisaa merchants.

Speaking at Monday's ceremony, Niyaz said that the partnership with Fine Taxi "is in alignment with [their] vision of a Digital Maldives."

"We are very pleased to partner with Fine Taxi to provide their customers with the convenience and ease of m-Faisaa, right from their mobile phones. We are confident that our partnership will add value to the everyday lives of our mutual customers," he added.

Also, speaking at the ceremony, Fine Taxi owner Shihad said that "this partnership enables digital payments for taxi services," adding that Fine Taxi "is proud to be the first taxi center to partner with Ooredoon to start this useful service."

"This will be an added convenience for our customers, as it facilitates simple and easy transactions, which also solves the problem of change during payments," said Shihad.

  • M-Faisaa was launched in July 2016 with the aim of providing local communities as easy, secure and affordable way to manage day to day financial transactions through their mobile phones.
