Parliament to form 17 committees
The motion to increase the parliament committees from 13 to 17 was passed with 71 votes

Parliament on Monday passed the motion to form 17 committees.

The motion to increase the parliament committees from 13 to 17 was passed with 71 votes.

Out of the four permanent committees, the privileges committee and ethics committee have been merged into the privileges and ethics committee.

The state-related committees consist of the committees on secondary legislation, economic affairs, public finance, security services, national security, independent institutions, and oversight of the government.

The parliament also passed the motion to form a committee on national development and heritage. Other new committees include committees on decentralization, judiciary, environment and climate change, human rights, gender, and foreign relations.
