Police make arrests in connection to mass robbery in Hoarafushi
Over MVR 100,000 was stolen
Arrests were made under court orders
Police recovered MVR 10,950 from the stolen cash

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has made a wave of arrests in connection to a mass robbery in Hoarafushi island of Haa Alif atoll.

While over MVR 100,000 was stolen in the robbery, police made said arrests under a court order.

As such, police arrested two 35-year-olds, a 33-year-old, and a 27-year-old respectively.

While one of the 35-year-olds was remanded by 15 days by the Thuraakunu Magistrate Court, the other three were remanded by seven days.

RaajjeMV also understands that police have since recovered some of the stolen money.

Police revealed that they had recovered MVR 10,950 out of the stolen cash.
