Those involved in the assault of a mentally ill woman in Sh. Feydhoo have been found, confirms the police service.

The police media official told RaajjeMV that the suspects have not been arrested.

The 50-year-old woman was found tied to a lamppost with a bag over her head on May 13.

The Feydhoo council has said that she is married with five children and that some of her children also suffer from mental illness.

In a tweet, Minister Shidhatha said that the government has provided her with protection after receiving report of the incident and that the assailants will be brought to justice.
