Maldives Police Service (MPS) has arrested three individuals in a drug bust in Hulhumale.
Officers had conducted an operation in Hulhumale as part of their ongoing operation to eliminate drug trafficking in the country, following which they had arrested a 25-year-old, 28-year-old and 37-year-old.
Police found five rubber packets and one large package suspected to contain narcotics after raiding a flat in Hulhumale, with the landlord’s permission.
The Hulhumale Magistrate Court has since remanded the three individuals by 10 days in a location allocated by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Hulhumale Police Station is further investigating the case.
