Tourism Minister Ali Waheed has said that a resort workers’ registry will be created this year.
In a tweet on Labour Day, Minister Waheed said the registry will include everyone working in the Maldivian tourism sector.
In the tweet, the Minister gave his best wishes to all Maldivian workers and vowed to bring better changes to the tourism sector.

The government has been working to solve complaints from workers of resorts violating government regulations.
