IGMH announces working hours for Ramadan
The hospital announced this in a circular on Wednesday
IGMH staff will have to work four-hour shifts

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH), the largest state-run medical facility in the country, has announced working hours for the upcoming month of Ramadan.

The hospital said in a circular on Wednesday that the official working hours during the month will start at 9:00am and end at 1:00pm. IGMH staff who work on shifts will have four-hour shifts.

These timings will be followed for the duration of Ramadan and the first seven days of the following Hijri month.

IGMH working hours were announced amid dispute over nurses and doctors having to work six-hour shifts without overtime pay.

The President’s Office in April also announced working hours between 9:00am and 1:00pm.

All government offices have four-hour shifts during Ramadan.
