The Ministry of Education has on Sunday announced session hours for public schools during the upcoming month of Ramadan.
School sessions have been divided according to grade: elementary students will be taught for one-and-half hours.
Primary students will be taught for two-and-half hours, while Secondary students will be taught for three hours.
School hours are to start between 8:30am and 9:00am, the Ministry says.
These hours will stand for the length of Ramadan, and the first of week of Shawwal, the following month in the lunar based Islamic calendar.
A circular from the ministry on Sunday advises schools to carry out religious awareness events during Ramadan.
