Maldives Police Service (MPS) have quelled a burning car that caught fire while being driven down a road in capital city Malé.

Police Media Official revealed that they had received the report of the fire half past 7pm on Tuesday.

The car was riding down Malé central road Majeedhee Magu when its headlight caught fire.

No injuries have been reported in the incident, the police further revealed.

Officers have since taken the car into Malé Industrial Zone.
