Ferry services have been scheduled on a trial basis
Scheduled in Dhidhdhoo, Kulhudhuffushi and Hanimaadhoo islands

Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) is to begin ferry services in three islands across Haa Alif and Haa Dhaal atolls.

The company’s CEO Hassan Shah revealed that they expanded their ferry services north of the Maldives and that scheduled ferries will begin operating within the next three days. A post by the company’s twitter account reveals that the ferry services have begun from Sunday onward.

Ferries began operating under MTCC’s “North Speed” schedule in Dhidhdhoo, Kulhudhuffushi and Hanimaadhoo islands.

Shah further revealed that they are under talks with the island councils and are working with their Public Relations and Marketing to officially begin the services.

According to the schedule publicized by the company, ferry services will proceed throughout the week except for Fridays.

Services will commence at 6:30 am every day and end at 03:30 pm.

MTCC has been providing ferry services throughout the ‘Greater Malé Area’ between capital city Malé, Villimalé and Hulhumalé as well as the outlying atolls.
