No arrests made in ferry terminal stabbing case: Police

Maldives Police Service (MPS) has stated that no arrests have been made in connection to the case where a youth was stabbed near the Vilimale’ ferry terminal.

Police media official on Tuesday reported to Raajje.mv that no arrests have been made but that the case was being investigated.

The youth was stabbed around 2200hrs on Monday. He was immediately transferred to Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) and treated for his injuries.

IGMH was unreachable for comment when contacted by Raajje.mv for a comment.

A witness from reported that the individual was stabbed as he disembarked the ferry, and was with his family at the time. The witness further said that the individual, who appeared to be as young as just 18-years-old, was with members of his family.
