Lh. Naifaru Council has stated that two organizations are using large plots of land, against the orders of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
Speaking to RaajjeMV, councilor Widad Abdulla said that the organizations are using two plots of land measuring 15,000 square feet.
Widad said that the land was given to them for social work but that the organizations are now using it for business purposes.
He said that their permits have been revoked and that the ACC has also banned the misuse of the permits, after a private party filed a complaint.
The organizations have ignored the ACC’s order and the council’s three notices to vacate the lands, he added.
The council had also been unable to remove the organizations from the lands during the previous administration.
