Comfort Travel & Tours has introduced a new travel magazine which aims to market Maldives’ tourism industry in the Middle East.

Al-Juzr magazine was inaugurated by Tourism Minister Ali Waheed on Monday.

Speaking to the press, Minister Waheed said that the magazine is an important milestone for the government’s goal of increasing diversity in the tourism industry and expressed his appreciation to the Maldivian travel agency for creating the magazine.

Highlighting that this is the first Maldivian magazine in the Arabic language, Minister Waheed said that the Tourism Ministry will support any agency’s efforts towards expanding the country’s tourism industry.

Moosa Nizar, who played a large role in creating the magazine, said that Al-Juzr will focus on marketing Maldives’ growing Islamic tourism industry.

He said that it took them a year of hard work to create the magazine and that many companies had extended help and support.

The magazine aims to provide information on Maldivian travel agencies and resorts and includes a digital version available at the Tourism Ministry website.
