The price of electricity across the Maldives has been reduced, effective March 1st, President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has said.
President Solih said this while speaking at an event to commemorate 90 days in office, highlighting that the reduction of the price of electricity was one his administration’s 100-day pledges.
The president said that the regional price differences between atolls and islands have also been eliminated, and that prices across the country will now been the same.
The President’s Office says details will be ‘revealed shortly’.
