President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has launched Islands.mv, a website that provides information on islands in the Maldives.

The website was developed by the Ministry of Communication, Science and Technology as part of the President’s 100-day agenda.

The government has pledged to give local councils authority to market their islands and publicize the islands’ attractions and services online.

The ministry stated that their new website will allow the islands to be marketed as attractive tourist spots worldwide. The website has information on local businesses and services and the island’s history and culture.

The website has a dedicated page for every island with information provided by the local council.

Islands.mv is maintained by the Science Ministry and is hosted by National Centre for Information Technology.
