Jailed ex-president Yameen hospitalized for third time

Jailed former president Abdulla Yameen has been admitted at Indhira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH) for a third time.
The former president was taken to hospital on Thursday night, right after being taken back to Maafushi Prison after his second hospital visit.
He was taken to IGMH last Monday, after the prison doctor advised that he be treated at the cardiology ward, and was returned to prison on Thursday morning.
On February 18, Yameen was detained for the rest of his trial on a state money-laundering charge after the Prosecutor General (PG) office accused him of offering bribes to witnesses to change their testimonies.
He was first hospitalized on February 20 and was returned to prison the next day.
