Newly appointed Ambassador of Maldives to Singapore, Dr. Abdulla Mausoom has presented his Letter of Credence to the President of Singapore, Halimah Yacob on Tuesday.
The ceremony to present the credentials was held at the President’s Office in Singapore – Istana.
President Yacob and Ambassador Mausoom acknowledged the close cordial relations that continue to exist between the two countries during the brief meeting.
The President also expressed her confidence the Ambassador Mausoom will work to reinforce further collaboration to strengthen close ties between both countries, during his tenure.
The newly appointed Ambassador had assured the President of his commitment to work “diligently” to further strengthen existing long-standing friendly ties between Maldives and Singapore.
Ambassador Mausoom was accompanied by his spouse Zeenaz Fahmee, Deputy Ambassador Eman Hussain and Second Secretary at the Embassy of Maldives in Singapore Aminath Guraisha.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih had appointed Dr. Mausoom as new Ambassador to Singapore on the 18th of February.
