A medical camp in Hoarafushi constituency’s Hoarafushi, Uligamu, and Thuraakunu islands has been launched on Saturday.

The medical camp is organized by the MaldiCare clinic and health centers of respective islands; the camp was initiated at 8:00am on Saturday.

The island council in Hoarafushi says that 50 residents of nearby islands have also come to it, in order to participate in the medical camp.

A total of 120 people registered their names to participate in the camp, the council further said. The one-day camp will go on until 06:00pm.

The council said that the camp will allow residents of the constituency who have required keener medical attention to attain it.

Hoarafushi residents have been providing accommodation to those arriving in the island.
