Ministry of Gender, Family and Social Services has briefed the Cabinet of Ministers on the importance of embracing gender equality.

The ministry conducted an information session at the President’s Office on Tuesday where senior staff at the President’s Office joined along with cabinet members.

The session focused on the logic behind gender equality as well as the policies and rules they are based on.

Some key factors covered at the session include international policies and agreements that revolve around gender equality as well as the importance of thinking and moving towards gender equality.

Ministry officials also briefed attendees on circumstances that could surface due to ignorance of the matter.
