Autopsy reveals cause of Filipino couple's death
Married in December, the couple traveled to Maldives on their honeymoon on the 11th of January
The funeral has been scheduled for 26th January, in Lumban Memorial Cemetery

An autopsy report on the honeymooners who drowned in Dhiffushi island of Kaafu atoll on the 12th of January has revealed the causes of their deaths.

The report revealed that Leomer Lagradilla died due to a cardiac arrest and his wife, Erika had drowned while trying to save him.

This was confirmed by Leomer’s father, in an interview he had given to Philippine news outlets.

It has been revealed that Erica’s body has been taken to Sta. Cruz, Laguna, after arriving at Ninoy Aquino International Airport via Etihad Airways on Saturday.

The funeral has been scheduled for 26th January, in Lumban Memorial Cemetery.

Bodies of Erika, 29 and Leomer, 30 were taken to Philippines a week after they drowned near Dhiffushi island while snorkeling.

Families of the couple had campaigned via social media to gather funds to take the bodies back to Philippines. The Maldives government had since taken up the expenses to send their bodies back home.

Married in December, the couple traveled to Maldives on their honeymoon on the 11th of January.
