A 28-year-old man has been treated for injuries he received from being attacked with a sharp object in Hulhumalé.

A police media official said on Monday that the incident was reported at about 12:10am, and the man had reportedly sustained a head injury.

More details of the man’s injuries are yet unclear, although RaajjeMV understands that he has been transferred to the Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital for a CT scan.

No one has yet been arrested in relation to the assault; the police are investigating the matter.
