The disaster management authority has warned the public to prepare for bad weather.

The meteorological service has forecasted heavy rain in the southern region for Saturday.

The disaster management authority has asked the public to make the necessary preparations to protect their household and property from floods that might occur.

It also warned that strong winds have the potential to blow away property that are not tied down and might also blow the roofs off of houses. It also recommended people to turn off electrical devices and equipment not in use.

Sea travelers are especially advised to be aware of the latest weather forecast.

The authority also asks that anyone who receive damages due to the bad weather notify it via the local council within 48 hours.
