The Ministry of Transport and Civil Aviation has announced reduced prices for domestic air travel.

Critics have expressed disappointment over the prices, which they say are not much different from the prices previously charged by airlines.
While prices for islands have been reduced by as low as MVR 188, there is also great leeway between maximum prices.
The prices will be enforced from 10th January onwards.
