The Treetop Hospital, a tertiary medical facility in Hulhumalé, has announced a maternal preparation program aimed at mother-infant development.
Dr. Siyadha Saeed, a medical officer at the hospital, said in an interview with RaajjeTV on Sunday that the program was initiated at the hospital’s maternity unit.
Patients will receive physical care, monitored exercising routines, nutritional advice for both mother and infant, postpartum care, and counseling.
Dr. Siyadha said that while counseling is often necessary for new mothers, it is equally important for fathers or other guardians.
