UN Assistant Secretary General, Miroslav Jenča has paid a courtesy call on Minister of Foreign Affairs, Abdulla Shahid.
The meeting took place at the Ministry on Wednesday.
During the meeting, Assistant SG Jenča and Minister Shahid discussed ways in which they can work closely to resolve major global issues.
Jenča also assured that Maldives will have the UN’s full support on important areas such as human rights, sustainable development as well as climate change.

Moreover, Minister Shahid had also hosted a farewell lunch to honor the outgoing Ambassador of Japan to the Maldives, Kazumi Endo during which he thanked Ambassador Endo for the “milestone achievements” in the bilateral cooperation between the Maldives and Japan, during his term in office.
