The President’s Office is to be establish a commission to review public complaints about previous state-run housing projects, the office has said.

The President’s Office said that this five-member commission will review complaints and other concerns pertaining to three housing schemes started and run by the administration that preceded his.

The office further said that the decision to form such a commission was the result of several complaints that the government has been receiving, and was made last Tuesday under advisement from cabinet ministers.

The committee will investigate how flat recipients were allocated points under the housing schemes and if procedure was adhered to. The committee will forward their findings along with a recommendation to President Solih. The committee will also investigate matters if any foul-play was involved.ެ.
