President Abdulla Yameen has moved back to his house in anticipation of the new administration.
President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih is to take his oath of office on Saturday evening.
President Yameen had moved from his old home in Alikilegefaanu Magu of Galolhu ward to H. Dhoovehi during his tenure.
H. Dhoovehi is under construction near the Artificial Beach but the first two floors have already been built.
During his tenure, President Yameen lived at the official residence of the vice president, H. Hilaaleege, while using state funds to renovate his house, Dhoovehi.
