The charitable organization was officially inaugurated at an event at Hotel Jen in capital city Malé

Jumhooree Party (JP) council member Aishath Nahula has established ASBA (Association for Social Benefits and Aid).

The charitable organization was officially inaugurated at an event at Hotel Jen in capital city Malé on Wednesday.

Former President and opposition leader Mohamed Nasheed and former first lady Laila Ali were chief guests at the event.

JP leader Qasim Ibrahim, Aishath’s husband, and his coalition partner Imran Abdulla of the Adhaalath Party were also at the event.

ASBA is aimed at providing funds for socio-economic development. Founding members of the organization are Aisha and her mother, Khadheeja Ibrahim.
