Atolls across the country will likely experience turbulent weather conditions in the next 24 hours, the Maldives Meteorological Services (MET Office) has said.
The MET Office said that heavy rain and strong winds are to be expected in all atolls until 10:00 AM on Sunday.
The MET Office on Friday released white-alert level warnings for regions between Shaviyani and Thaa atoll, and Kaafu to Meemu atoll and Gaafu Dhaalu to the southernmost Addu City.
The weather authority has also publicizied rainfall records for between 25th and 26th October. Guraidhoo island in Kaafu atoll had experienced 80 mm of rain, significantly more than surrounding areas and other islands in the country.
