President-elect Ibrahim Mohamed Solih has met with residents of his native-born atoll Faadhippolhu on Friday night.
Solih and vice-president-elect Faisal Naseem attended the event organized by the atoll residents to celebrate the opposition coalition’s election win.
Solih and Faisal also took photos with attendants at the event held at the beach near Hulhumale’ UI Hotel.

Faadhippolhu Atoll consists of Solih’s native island of Hinnavaru as well as Naifaru, Olhuveli, and Kurendhoo.
Solih and the opposition coalition have been celebrating across the Maldives since their win on the September 23 election.
Solih won with an overwhelming 134,705 votes or 58.4% compared to President Abdulla Yameen, who received 96,052 votes or 41.6%.
