Rescue officers have on Monday morning quelled a fire that broke at the Adhaaran Select, Hudhuranfushi resort in Kaafu atoll.

Captain Ibrahim Azim, the Maldives National Defence Force’s (MNDF) media officer, said that the fire had damaged three water villas.

No one was injured in the incident. The incident was reported at 2:00 AM on Monday and the fire was quelled at about 4:30 AM.

The MNDF is investigating the incident.
