Joint Opposition running mate Faisal Naseem has said that a vote for the opposition is a vote for change and that the only victory to be gained is for the rights of citizens.

Speaking at a campaign event in B. Dhonfanu on Friday, Faisal vowed that the opposition coalition will win the presidential election with over 80 percent of the votes.

Faisal said that, while President Abdulla Yameen’s government has neglected to develop atoll islands, MP Ali Hussain has taken it upon himself to contribute in the development of this constituency.

He said that a government led by the opposition coalition will not be biased towards islands based on their political affiliation when starting development projects and that they will also develop the sewerage system in Dhonfanu.

Faisal received a warm welcome upon his arrival in Dhonfanu where he also opened the opposition coalition’s campaign site.
