15 more lawmakers will join the Joint Opposition: MP Musthafa

15 lawmakers currently supporting the government will soon defect and join the Joint Opposition, says Thimarafushi MP Mohamed Musthafa.
The parliamentarian said this in a tweet he posted on Tuesday night, adding that reports of this has greatly impacted incumbent President Abdulla Yameen.
Musthafa said that these lawmakers will support the Joint Opposition and their presidential candidate, MP Ibrahim Mohamed Solih.
The tweet translates to, ‘President Yameen is under so much pressure over reports of 15 MPs supporting MP Solih, that he is just about to seek medication for it. No matter how angry he gets, they will support Solih’.
Musthafa’s comments come at time when MP Solih and his running mate MP Faisal Naseem, also a fellow lawmaker, has proclaimed that the opposition will emerge in the next tenure with a majority in parliament.
