Ministry of Housing and Infrastructure has revealed that they are to begin tarring the roads to be linked to the China Maldives Friendship Bridge officially named ‘Sinamale’ bridge, within the commencing week.

According to the Ministry, tarring of the roads will be completed along with the ongoing final work of the bridge development project by September.

Speaking to RaajjeMV, Media Consultant at the Ministry Ahmed Fazaal said that while the tarring is scheduled to begin within the commencing week, it will begin from the Hulhumale’ ferry terminal area in Henveiru-ward of the capital city.

Fazaal said that the road tarring work will commence and proceed at a swift speed and will be completed along with the completion of the bridge development.

The region to be tarred starts from the Salman Mosque in outlying Boduthakurufaanu Magu up to Male’ Industrial Village. The region is currently being constructed with the installation of sewerage systems underway.
